Australian College of Training commitment to preserving privacy, means that the collection, storage, accuracy, use and disclosure of personal information provided to Australian College of Training is respected and contractual requirements reflect the State, Commonwealth Governments and AQTF requirements.
The type and amount of personal information collected by ACT is dependant on the nature of the service or product being requested and funding contracts.
The principle activities of Australian College of Training where personal information is likely to be collected or stored will relate to training and assessment services and general enquiries for information.
This privacy policy applies to employee, client and supplier personal information.
OBJECTIVES
Commitment to personal privacy will ensure that Australian College of Training achieves:
- Maintenance of integrity of personal privacy of all who deal with the Company; and
- Ensure that a person is informed of their right to withhold personal information and that withholding information may affect the service that can be provided;

STORAGE AND SECURITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
ACT will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that you only provide personal information in a secure environment and when the information is no longer needed it will be destroyed or permanently rendered.
Where indicated by a lock (on the browser window), we protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information, your input. In conjunction with our key suppliers and agents, we operate secure data networks protected by an industry standard firewall and password protection system. We also take care to ensure that we have security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration, modification or disclosure of your user data under our control.
The security of any information (including personal information) downloaded and stored on your PC/Server etc is the responsibility of the individual. The individual is also responsible for the correct configuration of the hardware and software he/she uses to access an ACT website, along with the physical security and maintenance of that equipment.
Notwithstanding the fact that we take all reasonable steps to protect your personal data including the use of encryption technology, we cannot guarantee the security of any data you disclose online. You can help us keep your personal information secure by ensuring that any password you use on our web site is kept strictly confidential, and by logging off when you have finished using a shared computer.
ACT imposes strict rules on its employees who have access either to the databases that store your user information or to the servers that host our services and while we cannot guarantee that any unauthorised access, disclosure, loss, misuse or alteration to your data will not occur, we will take all reasonable steps to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.

GENERAL POLICY
Australian College of Training has a fair and reasonable refund policy as recorded on doc 3.4 Recording bookings for Work Shops. Protect fees paid in advance flow chart.

Commitment to an international management system standard that ensures Australian College of Training achieves:
- The maximum standard required for client refund and cancellation policies.
- An clear and precise refund statement to all clients prior to signing application form

Australian College of Training propriety knowledge provides a

Protecting the intellectual property assets of Australian
College of Training is essential to business success.
Intellectual property rights, including copyright are a critical
business asset of Australian College of Training and an integral
part of the Colleges’ business processes. Australian College of
Training will utilise all available resources to protect its
intellectual property rights.
OBJECTIVES
Commitment to effective management of intellectual property rights to enable Australian College of Training to:
- identifying its intellectual property assets and ensure that these assets are adequately protected including through registration, where appropriate;
- maintain ownership of intellectual property rights;
- prevent the exploitation of its intellectual property rights by third parties; and
- continually develop and protect its intellectual property assets.
KEY STRATEGIES
The company will successfully achieve its objectives based on the following strategies:
- implement intellectual property strategies and processes;
- ensure all contractors sign proper Service Agreements which incorporate provisions regarding confidentiality and ownership of intellectual property rights in all Service Agreements;
- extend intellectual property access via copyright licensing agreements; and
- acquire ownership of intellectual property rights which may initially vest in contractor’s carrying out work for Australian College of Training.
