Workforce Participation Work Readiness Program 2011

ThreeHappyStudentsThe Workforce Participation Program is aimed at promoting increased workforce participation by those currently under represented in the workforce. The focus of the Program is on work readiness training and foundation/entry level training – mostly Certificate I and Certificate II level training. This Program includes the funding that was previously identified as Access funding.

This program is jointly funded by the Commonwealth Government of Australia and the Government of Western Australia.

 

What qualifications are available?

Australian College of Training works with over nine training packages and over twenty different industries.  As such Australian College of Training is able to offer a large range of qualifications, including:

  • Certificate II in Business (BSB20107)
  • Certificate II in Food Processing (FDF20110)
  • Certificate II in Retail Baking Assistance (FDF20510)
  • Certificate II in Food Processing (Sales) (FDF20910)
  • Certificate I in Meat Processing (Meat Retailing) (MTM10207)
  • Certificate II in Retail (SIR20207)
  • Certificate II in Warehousing Operations (TLI21610)
  • Certificate II in Logistics (TLI21810)

 

Who can access funding?

Eligible Jobseekers are defined as individuals who are:

  • Unemployed; or
  • Under-employed, that is casual or part time and seeking or intending to seek paid employment or self employment; or
  • Seeking return to the workforce; or
  • Seeking to retrain in another industry area: or
  • Youth who are under Notices of Arrangement

 

What does the funding cover?

Funding covers the course fees for the qualifications.  The funding does not cover the enrolment fee ($47) and the resources fee.  ACT and your JSA can also help you with financial assistance in these areas if required.

 

Is there unlimited funding and places?

No, places and funding are limited. Applicants will be interviewed and selected on suitability criteria.
